 Mission Statement
  •    Our mission is to provide a high quality British Style Education, meeting the individual needs of all students regardless of age, ability and nationality.

  • BIS follows the National Curriculum for England and Wales.
  • The objectives of the National Curriculum:
  • To ensure continuity through British Schools in the UK and Internationally.
  • To provide opportunities for all children to learn and to achieve.
  • To promote children’s moral, social and cultural development and prepare them for the opportunities and experiences of life.
  • To promote and model positive behaviour with peers and adults.

Primary Education  (age 3 – 11)
  • Foundation stage is for children from ages 3 to 5.
  • The Foundation Stage comprise of Nursery (from 3 to 4) and Reception (4 to 5).
  • Key Stages1/2  comprise of Years 1-6.
  •      -  Subjects covered are; Literacy, Numeracy, Science, History/Geography, Art, P.E., Music & IT.
  • Russian language instruction begin in Year 1.

BIST teachers
  • Main Classroom teachers are native English speaking who are supported in the Primary schools by Russian ESL trained staff &/or Russian assistants with adequate English speaking skills.
  • Teachers are hired from the UK, Australia, South Africa, Canada, etc.
  • All teachers are specifically qualified for the year group &/or subject they are teaching.
  • Teachers are supported with Visas & work permits required to enter and leave Russia

Structure of BISM
  • BISM comprises of 6 schools delivering the British curriculum to all year groups in the northern and southern campuses .
  • BISM also operates 1 school in the south of Moscow delivering the Russian Curriculum with a strong English department staffed by native English speaking specialist teachers.
  • BISM has a present enrolment of 1000 + students from 60 different nationalities.
  • BISM is delivering a British style of education recognised in the UK and internationally.
  • BISM offers an English as a Second Language programme and provides extensive support for non native English speakers.

Organisation
  • School day begins at 8:50 am until 3:40pm.
  • The school year is divided into three terms
  • The school year begins on 01 September and finished the Friday of the first week of July.
  • Excursions and field trips are planned within all schools each term.

Extra Curricular Activities
  • We provide a number of extra curricular activities provided by outside qualified specialist and staff members.
  •      These include:
  • Dancing (Ballet)
  • Karate
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Sports, etc.
