General Director of the British International School Moscow
Mrs. Tatiana Anufrieva has been the General Director of the British International School Moscow from its foundation in 1994. She has sound experience of the needs of a large International School and works closely with headteachers on the formulation and implementation of new ideas and strategies to enhance the quality of the school’s educational programmes and life of its community.
Through her guidance the administration of the school now uses the most modern methodological practices, designed to support the successful delivery of our academic programmes. The collegiate approach she has fostered within the overall operation of the school is clearly evident in the consistent academic success of pupils.

Headteacher of BIS4 and BIS9
Denis Kelly initially joined the staff at BISM as a visiting Principal Consultant in September 2006. For two years he worked closely with the General Director and the Senior Management Team offering advice and support across a full range of school issues and developments.
In September 2008 he joined the permanent staff team as Executive Headteacher after completing a four year period as a Consultant Headteacher in London where he had worked on the developing UK government programmes enshrined within the Children Act 2004.
He has brought a wealth of experience to the senior management team of the school having been the Headteacher of four schools in the United Kingdom as well a broad range of International project work in Europe, North America and South Africa.

Headteacher of Rosinka School
Bryan Sparkes began his teaching career in Wilshire, England and was promoted to the headship of his first school in 1987. He has led schools both in the UK and internationally and was appointed as Headteacher of Rosinka School in July, 2005.
In September, 2006, having made a significant contribution to the development of Rosinka School, Mr. Sparkes was invited to join the Senior Management Team as Executive Headteacher. His role includes responsibility for the recruitment of international teachers.

Headteacher of BIS1 Infant School and BIS2 Junior School
Betty Walters joined the staff at BISM as initially as an early years teacher in September 1997. In September 2000 she joined the management team as Headteacher.
She is passionate about providing quality education to pupils in a warm, secure and stimulating environment. She is thrilled to be ‘learning and achieving’ together with international pupils from around the world.

Headteacher Southern Secondary School
Andrew Short began his teaching career in the UK where he worked as a Physics and Chemistry teacher, Head of Science and Assistant Headteacher. He joined BIS Moscow in July 2005 and has worked as a Deputy Headteacher within the organisation.
In September 2008 he was appointed Headteacher of the Southern Secondary School (School 3) where he still teaches Physics in group 4 of the IB Diploma to the senior students.

Headteacher of BIS7
Paul Trainor was a teacher , head of faculty and director of studies for 12 years in schools in the UK before joining School 7 in 2006. Following a period as a Deputy Headteacher he was appointed Headteacher in January 2008. He also teaches ICT and Business Studies at the school and has responsibility for I.T. across all BISM schools.

Headteacher of BIS5
Vladimir Gennadyevich Bragin is a graduate of the Moscow State Teacher’s University. He began his teaching career in 1981. In 2001, he joined the British International School No.5 as a Mathematics teacher until his appointment as Director in 2005. Alongside, his duty as director he also teaches Algebra in the High School of the Russian Department.
