School No. 5 is the Russian branch of the British International School. It’s located in a clean neighbourhood in the Southwest district in a comfortable building. The school territory is equipped to provide a comfortable and safe environment for children. It has sports facilities, children’s play areas and round-the-clock security.

In BIS No. 5 there are children of different nationalities from the ages of 5-17 years. The school is accredited by the Russian state and is licensed by the Moscow Department of Education. The education is according to the Russian program and covers all subjects of the Moscow basic curriculum.

Traditionally special attention is given to language learning. At BIS the English, German, French and Spanish languages are studied. The children are taught by experienced and highly-qualified Russian teachers and also by native-speaker English teachers, thus bringing together the best traditions of Russian and British education. We have children successfully passing international exams.

Students in years 9-11 are able to take college preparation courses with instructors from Moscow State University and the Higher School of Economics. Our graduates go on to enter the best educational institutions of Russia and also prestigious foreign universities.

There are also plenty of interesting extracurricular activities and events for the children. During the academic year pupils have the opportunity to participate in holiday concerts, assemblies, sports competitions and visit the best theatres and museums of Moscow.

In school there are clubs for sports and art. Our school also actively participates in district and city competitions in areas such as the arts, specific academic subjects and project work.

Meals are provided four times a day and we have a qualified medical staff available at all times. We take an individual approach in order to train and educate your child in as comfortable an environment as possible.
