DAILY LIFE IN SCHOOL

Your child will require:

  • A pair of indoor shoes (that should stay for daily use and be kept in a suitable bag)
  • Children in Foundation Stage Classes (Nursery and Reception) should keep a spare set of clothes in school.
  • Please dress your child sensibly as the children will spend some time outside each day (except in rain or extreme cold)


Stationery items are provided by the school, however you may send personal stationery items with your child if you wish.


Reading folders are provided for each child by the school.

These folders protect books that are borrowed for home reading and keep letters safe


Your child will NOT require:

Electronic games

Mobile phones

These inevitably end up lost / broken and upset is caused. Please keep them at home.

(If these are brought in they are to be handed to the Headteacher for collection at the end of the day)


Toys and games should only be brought in if requested by the teacher.


School Uniform

Clothing items with the school logo are available from the school office.

Items include:- polo shirts, sweatshirts and zip-up fleeces.

Children should be tidily and appropriately dressed.


School P.E. / Games kit

  • T-shirt, warm top and shorts or track suit.
  • Training shoes or gym shoes must be kept for indoor use only

(please make sure that your childs P.E. kit is clearly marked with their name)


Please remind your child that watches, necklaces, rings, fixed earrings or any form of jewellery must be removed before P.E. lessons begin as these may cause physical harm to others. Long hair should be tied back during P.E. lessons. Shoes laces must be tightly tied if your child cannot yet do laces why not have Velcro fastenings?


Nursery and Reception classes are taught P.E. in the school hall

Key Stage One and Two classes travel to the Gym for P.E. lessons


Please note that all children will take part in Physical Education lessons unless the school receives a medical note giving explanation of illness and length of exemption.
