Primary curriculum

The British International School, Moscow (BISM) was founded in 1994. It consists of eight schools and delivers the English National curriculum across the full age range as well as the full Russian curriculum.

Highly qualified, native English speaking teachers deliver the curriculum, ably assisted by Russian teachers and teaching assistants. The school has an excellent provision for English as an Additional language (E.A.L.). Children of approximately 70 nationalities attend BISM bringing a unique richness and variety to the educational experience.

The class sizes are small and allow for the curriculum to be differentiated meeting the individual needs of our students. Those children who need specific support with the English language receive an E.A.L. support programme.

All the schools are well resourced with teaching and learning materials including excellent information technology provision, sports halls, libraries and well equipped science laboratories.

We welcome parents to contact us and make an appointment to meet directly with leading school staff regarding the education of your children in Moscow. We're happy to answer all your questions and personally show you around the school facilities. If you are new to Moscow or plan to move here soon, we can help with advice on the campus most convenient to your new location.
